Monday Momentum: Leading with Awareness: Embracing the Season You Are In
Sharing a dose of inspiration to start your work week, “be aware of what season you are in and give yourself the grace to be there.” ~Kristen Dalton. Take what resonates with you, share with someone else or just make a note.
In a recent conversation, a colleague shared that she is navigating a growing season and also stated clearly that “growing is hard.” She’s aware of the season that she is currently in, and this allows her to better identify ways to work through what she is experiencing. So, how about you? Whether you are leading a company, a team or your career, when was the last time that you stopped to reflect on what season you are in?
Are you in the planting season where you doing the ground work and gathering knowledge? The planting season might require that you are patient with yourself. Are you in the growing season where you are developing skills and expanding your comfort zone? The growing season might require a bit more discipline and focus. Are you in the harvesting season where you are realizing your goals and acknowledging your wins? The harvesting season might require slowing down to reflect on and express gratitude for your accomplishments. Are you in the resting season where you are reevaluating and recharging? The resting season might require you to be still, and give things the well-needed attention they deserve.
Have you paused to recognize your current season, and given yourself the space to be present in it?
Until next time….
