The Power of Editing

On Mondays, I share a quote that resonates with me. I hope it offers you a grounding place to start your work week.

As we move deeper into December, the temptation might be there to try to fit it all in. Every task, event, meeting, every loose end before the year comes to a close.

But adding more might not lead to greater results. Sometimes, greater results may just come from subtracting what no longer needs to be carried. Choosing what not to do so that what matters most can actually move forward.

“Knowing what to leave out is just as important as knowing what to focus on.” ~Warren Buffett

Instead of defaulting to add more priority, consider one of these questions:

  • What expectation (yours or someone else’s) no longer aligns with you current season?

  • What task or conversation could bring relief if you let it go, delegate it, or redefine it?

Editing is not giving up.

It’s making room for meaningful progress.

✨This week’s challenge:

What’s one thing you could intentionally remove from your plate that would create more clarity, space or effectiveness for what matters most?

If you would like support in identifying what truly deserves your energy right now, my one-page Reflection Guide, is designed to help you create clarity, not pressure.

And if you or your team want strategic support, a coaching partnership or alignment session can help you enter the new year clear, grounded, and focused on what will actually move you forward.
