Assessing Your Accomplishments

Can you believe it, we are almost at the end of the year. How was your 2013? I know we still have a week plus to go, but there is no time like the present, use this time to assess your progress. As we get closer to the start of the new year, take this opportunity to take stock of your accomplishments for 2013 and also look at things that you wanted to get to, but didn’t. Now, don’t take this as an invitation to beat yourself up over what did not happen or even worse, compare yourself to anyone else. Everyone has their own imprint, accomplishments of family members or friends does not hinder you from having your own.

Take stock of your personal and career accomplishments, no matter how small and what helped you to get there. Think about the people who played a role in your accomplishments, take some time and express gratitude. Think of how you tapped into your gifts, talent, skills, experiences, your unique characteristics to help you succeed. Give yourself permission to toot your horn, after all, what’s the point of having a horn if you won’t toot it? You did it! You have made personal and career strides, acknowledge and enjoy, and use this success as a building block for 2014. From the goals that you didn’t accomplish, good news, you get 12 more months to work on them.

A quick note, take a look at these goals to see if they are still in alignment with your personal and career vision. If they are no longer in alignment, what adjustments do you need to make to bring them into alignment? As shared by Napoleon Hill, “all achievement, all earned riches, have their beginning in an idea.”

What ideas do you have, personal and career,  and how can you take action on them in 2014 to create personal and professional assets?I wish you a safe and joyous holiday season. All the best for 2014, here’s to your success!Simone
