If you want to increase your success, invest in the work of building authentic relationships. A recent thread of personal events led me to write this post. Life has a way of reminding you about the things that truly matters when you start allowing other factors to take the lead. As I look back at where I am coming from and where I am today, a common denominator has been the support of the people who have journeyed with me. Some joined at different phases, while others have been with me for the long haul. They have nurtured and challenged me, taught me a great deal and helped me to grow and to stay grounded.
As you move forward in your career or launch your business venture, don’t forget the importance of building relationships. You are in charge of creating your success picture. I hope you have relationships as a part of that picture. Make time to engage with others. With our busy schedules it is easy to push this crucial work to the back burner, however, allocating time to this area will only produce greater personal and professional rewards.
